Privacy policy

Open Noise does not collect or transmit personal data. It has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, microphone access, or recording.

On your device

Audio is produced entirely on your iPhone. White, pink, and brown noise are generated locally; rain and ocean are included with the app. Nothing is recorded, downloaded, or transmitted while you listen. Your selected sounds, levels, fade preference, and custom timer preference stay in the app’s settings on your iPhone. They are not sent to us. Open Noise does not restore active playback when it launches.

Websites and support

The native app does not load these pages or contact a server. GitHub Pages hosts these help pages; its handling of technical request information is covered by GitHub’s privacy statement. These Open Noise pages do not embed analytics. If you email support, we receive your message and email address so we can respond.
