Open Piano for iPhone
Privacy policy
Open Piano collects no personal data and contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
On your device
The piano sounds are bundled with the app. Playing, recording, and playback work locally. Your recordings stay in the app’s storage on your iPhone and are not uploaded to our server.
Wishlist
Opening the Wishlist fetches a public list of proposed changes from openforx.polyfeeds.dev. The app’s request does not set cookies or send recordings, an account, or an app-specific user identifier. As with any internet request, the server receives an IP address in transit; we do not store it with app activity or use it to identify you.
If the connection fails, the app can show a previously cached list. Piano playback and recording do not depend on that connection.
Websites and optional contact
This policy’s no-collection statement applies to the native Open Piano app. These help pages are hosted by GitHub Pages, whose handling of technical request information is covered by GitHub’s privacy statement. Our websites use PostHog for pageview and click analytics. Some of our websites also use masked session replay; it is not enabled on these GitHub Pages help pages. These website tools are not embedded in the piano app.
Suggestions and voting on the existing Wishlist website use an anonymous cookie to count participation. A suggestion includes the text you enter and an email address only if you choose to provide one. If you email support, we receive the message and your email address to respond. We do not sell this information. Avoid including sensitive information in public GitHub discussions.
Payments
Open Piano has no in-app purchases. Web underwriting is currently disabled.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.
