Open Beacon for iPhone

Privacy policy

Open Beacon contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs and has no Open AppCo server. It does not collect what devices are around you, where you are or what you are looking for.

Bluetooth

Open Beacon listens for Bluetooth signals only while the app is open on screen, to show how close your things are. It stops listening when you leave the app or lock the phone. It does not connect to the devices it hears.

No location

Open Beacon does not ask for or use your location. A saved thing shows the time this iPhone last heard it, not a place.

On your iPhone

The things you save, the names you give them and when they were last heard are stored on this iPhone. Nothing is sent anywhere. No account is needed. Deleting the app deletes this data; iOS backups are controlled by your device and Apple settings.

Help websites

Support and Privacy links open your browser. GitHub Pages hosts these pages and receives technical request information under GitHub’s privacy statement. The Open AppCo website uses PostHog pageview, click analytics and masked session replay; these website tools are not embedded in the iPhone app.

Contact

Use support@openappco.com or Open AppCo support for questions. GitHub issues are public.
