Open Feeds for iPhone

Privacy policy

Open Feeds contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs and has no Open AppCo server. It does not collect your feeds, reading history or saved headlines.

The sites you follow

To show headlines, your iPhone requests each feed directly from the site that publishes it, and opens articles you tap in Safari View Controller. Those sites receive ordinary web request information, such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies. Open AppCo is not part of those requests and never receives them.

On your iPhone

Your feeds, headlines, read state and saved items are stored in the app’s container, and your list of feeds is also saved as an OPML file you can see in the Files app. No account is needed. Deleting the app removes its data; iOS backups are controlled by your device and Apple settings.

Files you choose

OPML import uses the system file picker and reads only the file you select. Sharing your subscriptions uses the system share sheet; once you share the file, the destination’s privacy practices apply.

Help websites

Support and Privacy links open your browser. GitHub Pages hosts these pages and receives technical request information under GitHub’s privacy statement. The Open AppCo website uses PostHog pageview, click analytics and masked session replay; these website tools are not embedded in the iPhone app.
